Music

“Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise. The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man that he should proclaim the Word of God through Music.” Martin Luther

Lutheran churches are called the “Singing Churches” for a reason. The purpose of music at CLC is indeed to proclaim the Word of God through our music, and support and lead singing within and among our congregation in liturgy and hymnody. Through this gift of language through song, and through all instruments that reverently support this, may we edify and imprint this Word of God upon the congregation in an indelible way only music can do through the Holy Spirit.

All CLC choirs are open to those who are willing and able to be instruments of music within the body of Christ.

Choir

The choir regularly meets on Tuesdays from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm for rehearsals at CLC, and sings selections about every month. You can view our Choir Site for more information and our CLC Calendar for any schedule changes.

Bell Choir

The Bell Choir regularly meets on Sunday mornings at 7:35 am – 9:00 am for rehearsals at CLC with our handbells and/or handchimes. View our Calendar for any schedule changes.

Instrumentalists

Our organist/pianists are critical in leading our congregation in liturgy and hymnody, and with other forms of accompaniment or additional music. We also cherish a number of other instrumentalists that periodically provide us with even more dimension, color, and beauty to the music ministry at CLC.

If you like to sing…or ring…or play church music, we would love for you to join us in the Music Ministry!
