Sunday:
9:00 am – Divine Service with Holy Communion
5:00 pm – Divine Service with Holy Communion
Wednesday:
10:30 am – Divine Service with Holy Communion
Above are the normal worship services scheduled at CLC throughout the year. On Sundays, these are currently from the Lutheran Service Book (LSB) Divine Service 3. Wednesdays are LSB Divine Service 4.
On high feast days (Christmas, Easter, Epiphany, etc.) we use a festival service that closely follows Luther’s revision of the German Mass from AD 1526, where in the tradition of Lutherans being the “singing churches”, hymnody replaces spoken portions of the liturgy. At various other times during the church year, there are special services without Holy Communion, and CLC also uses many Services of the Word within LSB, including Matins, Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, Vespers, and others.
Catalina Lutheran Church follows the One-Year Lectionary Series for our worship services.
