Dr. Luther’s Small Catechism lesson for the week of May 10, 2015:
[III] THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
IN THE PLAIN FORM IN WHICH THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY
SHALL TEACH IT TO HIS HOUSEHOLD
THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT
“Honor your father and mother.”
What does this mean?
Answer: We should fear and love God, and so we should not despise our parents and superiors, nor provoke them to anger, but honor, serve, obey, love, and esteem them.[1]
