There were 11 members and friends who came to pack bags on Thursday for the Tucson StandDown. It took less than an hour to complete the job. Those in attendance were Paul & Donna, Christie & Boyd, Jan & Bruce, Vicar Steffensen, Rosa, Tammy, Mary Jane, and Dawn. A Thrivent Financial Action Team Service Project was written by Ascension Lutheran Church which helped pay for many of the packed items.
The StandDown is set for Wed., March 16 at the Grand Luxe Hotel located at 1365 W. Grant Rd. It is right off of Interstate 10. The time for the opening ceremony is 9:00 A.M. Those planning to attend are Russ & Dawn, Tammy & Mike, Vicar, and Lynette from Faith Lutheran.
