Monday, Oct. 16, 2023 – O Loving Father, Merciful God, Who sent Your Son to fulfill all righteousness and through whose Baptism in the Jordan You sanctified and instituted all waters to be a blessed flood and a lavish washing away of sin, hear our prayer; just as You created the expanse to separate the waters, so cause us to remember our own baptism through which You separated us from the world and adopted us into Your Name along with all believers. Embolden us to teach and to baptize as You have directed us, that Your Spirit would continue to gather the faithful to this our church home, and that others may find Your precious Word and sacred Sacraments here, through Jesus Christ, Your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
