Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 – O Holy God, Creator of Heaven and Earth; just as You looked upon Your work and, upon its completion, rested, so guide and direct us until our work is complete, and at the end of time we find our eternal rest in You. For the sake of Your Son, be with His bride, the church, that we would rightly receive Your gifts and sanctify the holy day, that we may not despise preaching and Your Word, but hold it sacred, and gladly hear and learn it. Use us according to Your good and perfect will to be light in this world, and that we might grow in faith toward You and in fervent love toward one another through Jesus Christ, Your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
