Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 – Lord God, heavenly Father, You richly and daily provide us with all that we need to support our bodies and lives. Like the Good Samaritan in the parable, Your giving knows no limits. We thank you for Your boundless love that You show us daily. We confess that as sinners we do not wholly trust in Your infinite goodness, and that we often withhold from You out of fear and the idolatry of self. We are truly sorry, we humbly repent and beg for your forgiveness. Govern our hearts by Your Holy Spirit that we fear, love, and trust You above all things, and are bold always to offer up our silver and gold, and not withhold even a mite, knowing that we can never out-give You; for the sake of Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one true God, forever and ever. Amen.
