Jesus, when you were tempted in the wilderness after 40 days, you relied not on your glory and might, but on the Word of the Lord and the promises of your Father to sustain you. You humbled yourself to be a man, so that you might save us from our sins. Help me to remain humble, in Your Word, as your servant and lead me in Your ways. Amen.
