Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 – Holy and righteous God, You tell us in Your Word that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that the fear of the Lord is the hatred of evil. We pray that through this wisdom, rulers decree what is just, and nobles govern justly. We pray that with wisdom we have insight and strength. Lord, it is through Your Word that we come to know and possess wisdom. We come to know Your just decrees and Your ways of righteousness. The ways in which You would have us walk. Forgive us when we fail to spend time reading the Scriptures. Help us to be ever diligent in knowing the Scriptures, reading and studying them daily, and inwardly digesting them so that we may come to know You more and learn true wisdom. That we may produce fruit that is better than gold, even fine gold. Let us always walk in the ways of righteousness and the paths of justice. Through Jesus Your dear Son. Amen.
