Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, Feast of St. Luke – O Most Gracious and Merciful God, Who promised Jacob in his dream of the ladder reaching to the heavens that his offspring would be as plentiful as the dust of the earth, and promised Abram as he gazed into the sky that his offspring would be as numerous as the stars in the heavens; just as You created the greater and lesser lights and all celestial bodies so continue to keep us mindful of the wonder of Your creation and the might of Your power yet You are mindful of man. According to Your good and gracious will cause us to recall and claim Your promises to us both great and small. Be with Your people and continue to bring us Your gifts of mercy, life and salvation, through Jesus Christ, Your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
