Forty years ago, on this date, November 22,1985, at about this same hour, I heard the sound of a phone ringing. I wasn’t a pastor at that time in my life. The icon of the living God is beheld through God’s Word
Today, our bulletin covers depict that which is written in two words at the top of the image. They declare, in Slavic, Vetkhi Denmi (ВЕТХИ ДЕНМИ). That is, they announce that the One pictured is the, “Ancient of Days.”
He is God the Father, the One Who, with the Son and the Spirit, has been declared to bring hope to God’s people for centuries.
